About Crunchy Homeschool & The Founder...

Hi, I'm Rory. I'm a single dad to an awesome 6yo boy, a believer, writer and content creator.

Being a father is the greatest privilege of my life and I cherish my boy. I love doing life with him, going on adventures and seeing him grow.

But let's be real - what's out there for our kids in terms of education and entertainment? It's just not good enough.

This mad world is constantly fighting for their attention, pushing unhealthy lifestyles  & confusing ideologies, and broadcasting agendas that weaken their health, mind, faith and disrupt the family unit. It's a mess, and as a parent, it's frustrating and heartbreaking to watch.

That's why I'm on a mission to create a revolution of sorts in children's media.

A return to core values, a 'crunchy' aka 'based' holistic lifestyle, and faith-driven principles. A type of media that teaches kids to grow strong, think deeply and thrive in truth.

Crunchy Homeschool is my first step in this adventure.

It started as something for my son -- fun book ideas to make him laugh and resources I couldn't find anywhere else.

But quickly it became clear this was bigger than us.

So here I am, sharing this mission with the world, determined to create media that shapes the next generation for the better.

Let's do this & may the crunch be with you.

FAQ:

"What is Crunchy?"

I get asked this question more often than I thought I would... essentially the term crunchy comes from 'granola moms' back in the day who would make their own granola, when home made granola was the holy grail of healthy.

Crunchy is now synonymous with someone who is usually obsessed with living a low/no tox lifestyle, eating organic food, homesteading & homemaking, questions everything, distrusts the mainstream agendas, avoiding microplastics, saying no to seed oils, reading ingredients on food labels, and often 'controversial things' like drinking raw milk, natural birth and conspiracies. We're also usually a little quirky and probably intense for your everyday mainstream person.

When I was thinking of a word that reflected the philosophies of our homeschooling resources and activities, crunchy jumped out, so I ran with it and here we are!
